Clinics and private lessons

General information

I take great pleasure in accompanying human/horse couples and constantly improving the way I transmit my ideas.

​

Currently, the clinics and private lessons cover the following topics :

​

  • Understanding how horses think and act

  • Working on the horse's confidence in you and your tools

  • Basic ground maneuvers and yields to handle your horse smoothly and safely

  • Take the feet, lead and saddle in a calm and safe manner

  • Refining communication and working with more distance

  • Foundations of free work inside and outside the round pen

  • Preparation for mounted work

  • Basic maneuvers in the saddle

  • Advanced work in the saddle with the bit

  • Balance training on the ground with the cavesson

  • Changing environments and going outside

  • Work with obstacles

  • Trailer loading

  • Resolving behavioral difficulties (limited to private sessions)

Clinics

​

I travel in Belgium and in the bordering countries to give clinics. The teaching can be done in French or English.

​

The clinics are a good way to learn the principles and concepts necessary for your progression, to introduce your horses to new places and to create links with other like-minded people.
Ideally, you create a stable group of participants who can grow together and you organize several clinics per year.


The maximum number of participants is set at six so that you can get enough attention.


Auditors are welcome. Auditioning a clinic is the easiest and most beneficial way to discover my approach to Horsemanship and to learn without spending too much money. Auditors participate in all sessions without horses, observe the sessions with horses and can ask questions.

Themes

​

The theme of the course is established with the organizer. The group of participants is ideally as homogeneous as possible concerning expectations and levels.

Currently, the main themes of the course are : fundamental ground work in halter, advanced ground work in halter, foundation work in liberty, ground work with cavesson, preparation for riding and fundamental work in saddle.

 

Conditions

 

  • Duration is 1, 2 or 3 days

  • The number of participants is from 1 to 6

  • Auditors are welcome, but the organizer may choose to keep the event private.

Fee

 

  • Fixed price of 450€/day including VAT

  • Travel fee of 0,35€/km from 15 km around my home + possible toll fees

Private lessons

​

Private lessons can range from 1 hour to half a day and are for 1 or 2 people.

The private sessions allow a more precise supervision and are ideal in complement of the training courses, for the stallions, the young horses and the resolution of important difficulties.

​

I organize tours in Belgium by province in order to group lessons and reduce my travels.
 

Participating in a clinic as an auditor before a first lesson may be interesting to get a first impression of my work.

Fee

 

  • Private and non-profit: 40€/hour for 1 person and 30€/hour/person if 2 people

  • Professionals: please contact me for a quote.

  • Travelling fee of 0,35€/km from 15 km around my home
